We think the Canucks are way ahead of the pack and the Oilers are out entirely. 5th and 11th place are close in the standing so one game your in the playoffs and the next game you are not.

NHL playoffs
The playoffs are coming up and their is a close race to get in. I think the leafs will not make the playoffs because they traded some talent away.

Ilya Kovalchuk is on fire
kovalchuck has 8 points in his last 6 games and 21 goals this season. I feel he will get 35 goals this season if the Devils still keep rolling. He is still a great sniper in the NHL this is just a bad year for him hey look at Ovechkin he is having a bad year too.
New Jersey is Hot
The Devils have won 6 games straight! I think they are on fire right now but they are still 12 points out of a playoff spot. If they keep up their winning ways I feel that they have a chance at a 8th place finish in the East. In their last 10 games they have gotten 17 points that is pretty great and that has made them a dangerous force in the west. They started the season slow but since Jacques Lemaire has been coaching they have been pretty great.
Bruins win
the Bruins won against the Sens on Friday. I think Tomas Kaberle had an ok game even though he was -1 he still had 19:34 time on ice in his Bruins Debut.

Leafs cleaning out their closet
So far before the deadline the Leafs have traded Kaberle and Versteeg! They recieved 2 first round draft picks in those deals. Is it worth it we will see in a couple of years. I think the Leafs should trade Grabovski and Kessel for draft picks and trade them both to a team that needs talent now for the play offs and prepare for the future. even though kessel is an All Star he could give them another first round draft pick.
Tomas Kaberle got traded
Kaberle got traded to the Bruins from the Leafs. The Leafs got a First round draft pick and Joe Colborne in return. I think this was a good deal for the Leafs because they can now draft another young gun from the draft. Is this a sign of things to come I think so because the Deadline is not until the 28th and if they could get another first round draft pick that would help them out a lot for preparing for the future.

Kessel
Kessel is an all star and nobody should care if he was drafted last in the all star fantasy draft he was still an All star. He is a great player and is worth a first round draft pick look at how Segiun is doing and that is who they probably would have drafted.
Oilers winners or losers?
The Oilers are currently on a 2 game winning streak but are they really winners? I say no because they are last in the league and have a bit of experience with winning in the NHL. But time will tell they are having a strong end to this season that momentum might still be rolling into next year. I predict that they will get a high draft pick and be 10th place in the west in the end of next season. Their is still times to over come for the Oilers.

The Oilers are bad
We think the Oilers are no good bring Quebec back. The oilers have no good players and are all ways going to get a high draft pick. Next year they are going to draft Nugent Hopkins to add to there young talent. They should trade Hemsky and Horcoff for some draft picks and send some AHL players up and give them a chance in the NHL.

The Sabers win
The Sabers beat Montreal 3 2 in the 10th round of the shootout after losing by 2 goals.
The Leafs Win
Phil Kessel scores 2 goals and ends his drought against his former team and the Toronto Maple Leafs won 4 3 versus Boston. This was great for Leafs fans and should happen more often.
Peter Forsberg retires
Peter Forsberg retired after 13 years in the NHL. He had a great NHL career and one of the best Swedish players of all time.
Versteeg gets traded
Kris Versteeg got traded to the Flyers from the Leafs. In return the Leafs got a 1st and a 3rd round draft pick. This will help the Flyers to make that one extra push to the Stanley Cup.
